New Day, have you thought about changing your mind and reconsider "that every day is a New Day". Not just a repeat [ground hog day] of yesterday. Even given the necessary routines, I wanted to change my perspective. So, I tell you...I talk to myself, actually coach myself if I give it a job description. If I don't face the day with the possibility of positive change I am signing up for low or high grade depression. If it works for me: maybe it will for you.
] First Thing I do, is face the day factually. I literally have never met this day before. It doesn't matter what is facing me, this is a New Day. That starts to open up a reality of possibilities. I have never been in this day before.
] I work on my attitude, I forgive, Those closest to me I process and discard revenge, then minor work place issues of in justice. Like a Judge: I deliberate and conclude and release others from their infractions. If I carry those weights I am only weighting my self down. Unforgiveness is like drinking poison yourself and waiting for the other person to die.
] I work on "Thankfulness". Start small...hot coffee, warm bed etc. and build up from there. Even if you feel nothing. Remember the principle of oral contracts, they bind or lose. Practicing thankfulness [orally] loosens and resets situations, opens your eyes. I would even say: Say it until you make it. Your emotions may be suppressed but keep practicing being thankful till the ice in your heart melts.
] Last break your routine, go for a run, do free weights, Get yourself a fancy coffee, put on some new music. One time a friend bought me steak and eggs, it really made a difference.
] Now you are ready for a New Day, so keep your eyes open for little things and look for silver linings. Let me know what works for you.
